Thursday night's sunset was one of those photographer's envy. After work I checked the conditions and headed down to Malibu. The only problem was high tide was the same time as sunset in which there would be plenty of wave action against the cliffs and I would get wet. But took my chances and found my favorite sea stack. Sure enough the clouds began lighting up and the burn began. It was perfect way to end the evening. Special thanks to weatherman Jeff Lewis for predicting this sunset! The perfect start of autumn

I absolutely live for Colorado's fall colors. I had not planned to shoot any this year since I live in Portland Oregon; however, I was able to tack on a nice day into the mountains of Colorado this past week and just had an absolute blast shooting in this aspen grove near the ghost town of St. Elmo near Mount Princeton. http://bit.ly/1itml6M

It was a bit hazy and also quite a lot of light pollution, but it was an incredible, peaceful scenery nevertheless. A wonderful night at the lake.
